Pacific Smart System (PSSC) is accelerating its expansion into the Japanese market by participating in ResorTech EXPO 2025 in Okinawa, the largest technology exhibition in Okinawa. The company demonstrated Taiwan’s core capabilities in smart cities and digital transformation (DX). Following the exhibition, PSSC was invited to the San’in region of Japan to join the Taiwan Smart Solutions Business Meeting & Exhibition, co-organized by the Nakaumi-Lake Shinji-Oyama Area Mayors Association and the Taiwan–Japan Industrial Collaboration Promotion Office (TJPO), enabling deeper engagement with local governments and enterprises.
In collaboration with GIO, PSSC showcased its latest smart-application innovation—AnytIme Talk Translator, an AI transparent-screen real-time translation device designed to help Japan’s tourism and service industries overcome language barriers, enabling seamless hospitality and instant communication.
Focusing on Tourism DX and Barrier-Free Communication, the jointly developed solution became a highlight of the exhibition.
The AnytIme Talk Translator integrates GIO’s advanced transparent display technology with PSSC’s AI semantic processing capabilities, featuring:
- Face-to-Face Eye Contact:
Unlike traditional translation devices that require users to look down at a screen, the transparent display allows direct eye contact, delivering a warm, human-centered “zero-distance” communication experience.
- Instant Two-Way Translation:
Supports real-time voice-to-text translation across multiple languages, with translated text displayed directly on the transparent panel. This greatly improves communication efficiency in settings such as hotel check-ins, tourist information counters, and guided services.
- Versatile Applications:
Ideal for airports, hotel front desks, Tourist Information Centers (TIC), public transportation, and healthcare facilities, effectively solving multilingual communication challenges faced by frontline staff.
This technology is particularly valuable for environments that require seamless multilingual interaction—such as hotels, TICs, transportation hubs, and medical institutions—supporting Japan’s commitment to high-quality Omotenashi hospitality.
In addition to showcasing impressive results in Okinawa, the PSSC and GIO teams are actively deepening their presence in the Japanese market, extending their reach to the San'in region. The team was invited to Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, to participate in the "Taiwan Smart Solutions Conference and Exhibition," co-organized by "The Nakaumi-Lake Shinji-Oyama Area Mayors' Meeting" and the "Taiwan-Japan Industrial Cooperation Promotion Office (TJPO)."
During the concurrently held 2025 Taiwan–Japan Economic Exchange Business Meeting & Exhibition, the teams engaged in in-depth discussions on Tourism DX and multilingual AI-guided solutions. With the introduction of the AnytIme Talk Translator, both sides aim to help the San’in region promote its rich tourism resources internationally and enhance the travel experience of foreign visitors.
